Clean Water for Carani, Bolivia

Another $2,000 Match! Ron Beazer is so impressed with your overwhelming support for this campaign that he has offered another dollar-for-dollar match!

Let's surpass our goal and help UI-HEC fulfill their commitment to the people of Carani! Thank you so much for your support!

Only a few days left - let's end it on a strong note!

The University of Idaho Humanitarian Engineering Corps (UI-HEC) is a student-led nonprofit humanitarian organization established to partner with communities worldwide to facilitate community driven design that improves access to basic human needs.

Our Project: UI-HEC has committed to our partner community of Carani, Bolivia for a minimum of five years, working with the people of Carani to design and construct a sustainable water supply system to better serve the needs of the entire community. For the past two years, we have designed and implemented the first phase of a four-part freshwater distribution system, and are currently working on the second phase to serve an additional zone of the community.

Our Students: UI-HEC connects UI students of all majors and technical backgrounds through international service opportunities. Students in UI-HEC develop valuable skills such as cultural competence, interdisciplinary teamwork, sustainable design, communication and project management, as we utilize our engineering education for the good of humanity.

Please make a gift today to help support UI-HEC in fulfilling its commitment to the people of Carani! Our goal for this campaign is $10,000 - but we need your help to meet our goal so our Vandals can develop extremely valuable skills while providing access to a sustainable supply of clean water for the families of Carani!
