I just want to thank all of our donors and everyone else who has shared and supported our efforts to send student veterans from the University of Idaho to the SVA National Conference in Los Angeles, California.
Our original goal was to be able to send three student veterans to the National Conference, but thanks to your overwhelming donations and other grants we were able to receive thanks to our efforts with this campaign we surpassed our goal! As a result, we will now be able to send four student veterans to the National Conference.
Please be sure to follow our Facebook page at @VetsUI to for updates about the National Conference. We hope to be able to provide information on all the student veterans selected to attend and what their experiences are like while there.
Once again, THANK YOU! for your support for the student veterans here at the University of Idaho.
The Veterans at the University of Idaho is reducing its campaign goal to $2,000. However, this isn't because we don't think we will meet our original goal, it's because we are almost there!
The Idaho Division of Veteran Services has granted the Veterans at the University of Idaho a $2,000 grant to help send our student veterans to SVA's National Conference. As a result, we are only $660 away from meeting our goal!! With tomorrow being the last day for donations, we need your help!
Please donate and share our campaign to send that last student veteran to SVA's National Conference and provide all these student veterans the opportunity to see what they can accomplish, while inspiring them to pursue their dreams!
Thanks to all our generous donors and our hardworking ambassadors, we are 1/3 of the way to our goal of sending 3 student veterans to SVA's National Conference this coming January. The National Conference is an opportunity for student veterans to gather with like-minded folks, get career development advice and instruction from Fortune 500 companies, and participate in thought-provoking self-development.
After I attended the National Conference last year, I felt like there was a whole world of support out there for me. It empowered me to apply for internships and now jobs that I never would have thought within my reach. I used what I learned from the conference to better brand my skills and accomplishments into something tailored toward my aspirations. Between the LinkedIn workshop, resume building breakout session, and the chatting with other student veterans, I was able to see that I was aiming too low and was capable of setting my sights on bigger and better opportunities. I want to help provide this experience to other student veterans at the University of Idaho, but I need your help.
Please donate and share our campaign to send 2 more student veterans to SVA's National Conference and provide these student veterans the opportunity to see what they can accomplish, while inspiring them to pursue their dreams!
It's only less than an hour until Jennifer Tengono, President of Veterans at the University of Idaho and leader of this campaign, is live on "Idaho Matters" with Gemma Gaudette!
Don't miss out on your opportunity to learn what being a student veteran at the University of Idaho has meant to her and how this campaign to raise $4,000 to send 3 student veterans to the SVA 2020 National Conference is so important to her! You can listen live where ever you are at: https://lnkd.in/gnhtS_T
We are only $20 short of being able to completely fund one student veteran to attend! $5, $10, $20, $50 or $100... Any amount you are able to donate will help us reach our goal! We cannot do this without your support.
Please help us reach that goal and work towards sending a second student veteran to the conference!!
That's because this past week, thanks to the amazing outreach of our Ambassadors, we have been able to reach over 30% of our campaign goal.
We are just $70 shy of being able to send 1 student veteran!!
Additionally, this Monday, 10/28/19, Jennifer Tengono, President of the Veterans at the University of Idaho and this campaign's creator, will be on "Idaho Matters" with Gemma Gaudette, on NPR's Boise State Public Radio to discuss why this campaign means so much to her and why you should donate to this campaign!!
Can we count on your support through a donation or by spreading the word about our campaign??

It’s almost the end of our crowdfunding campaign and I wonder, have you shared our cause with others?
We have raised $300 towards our $4,000 goal, that's only 7% of what we are asking for.
Did you know that Fortune 500 companies attend the SVA National Conference specifically seeking student veterans in STEM majors?
Last year, two of our student veterans had job interviews during the conference. One of those students was even selected for The Washington Center’s VET Initiative Summer Internship program; where he worked as a legal intern providing financial compliance and research resources to America’s politicians and political candidates.
Please help us send three more students to this amazing conference and provide them with the same opportunities!
Thank you everyone for your support so far! Veterans at the University of Idaho wants to send three student veterans to the SVA National Conference, coming up this January. Thank you to everyone who has donated, shared, and gotten involved in spreading the campaign — we could not do this without your support!
We have raised 5% of our goal so far!
Right now, we have 14 days left in our campaign and we still need to raise $3,800 of our $4,000 goal.
We are determined to meet and hopefully exceed our goal, but we can’t do it without you. The more we raise, the more student veterans we can send to the conference. Please consider making a contribution and pass our campaign on to as many people as you can to help us get the rest of the way there. Every share counts!
Thank you for all your support!
Have you seen the amazing video of what last year’s conference was like?❓
It demonstrates only a small part of the SVA National Conference experience. The motivation, inspiration, and energy of the conference provides student veterans the confidence and support they need to change the world!
$1 $5 $10 $15 $20 or $25 makes a difference in whether or not our student veterans are able to attend this amazing professional and educational development conference.
