The Raven Scholar program is a free, donations-based support service for University of Idaho students with on the autism spectrum, with an 80% retention rate! Our program individualized services such as advocacy, one-on-one skills training, services coordination, case management, and intervention for early warning grades or faculty and staff concerns.
One of the ways Raven Scholars helps students achieve such positive retention rates is community. We develop the student's social network through involvement with our returning Raven Scholars, Peer-Mentors and through monthly social events. Our dedicated space on campus is a safe haven for individuals on the spectrum with staff and interns who understand and appreciate Neurodiversity. Raven Scholars know they have a place where no one will judge them and where they can be truly accepted for who they are and get the support they need!
WHAT WILL FUNDING ACCOMPLISH: Supporting Raven Scholars will allow us to continue to provide enriching educational and social supports. We can invite specialists to do workshops and provide games, sensory tools, interactive activities and more. We also provide snacks and activities for students to engage in on a daily basis.
