Located in downtown Moscow, the Prichard Art Gallery is the University of Idaho's primary fine arts exhibition space. It is the region's only cutting-edge contemporary art gallery. It is also a laboratory for the arts, a public service, and a place where students can create, learn, and work. Due to budget cuts, we've had to reduce hours and operate the gallery with part-time staff only. We'd like to raise funds to continue the Prichard's mission this year.
The Prichard Art Gallery provides educational opportunities for elementary students throughout the region. From hands-on classes to docent led discussions, community outreach is an important part of the gallery mission. University students are supported by robust programming including exhibitions of rising professional artists, artist lectures and workshops. MFA students exhibit and defend their work in the Prichard.
