Please support our MVSC Physical Education students as they travel to Seattle to attend the spring ’23 SHAPE America (AAHPERD) Conference. We have 10 future physical education teachers attending and representing the University of Idaho. This is great opportunity for each to grow, as well as connect and learn from other professionals in the field and future employers.
SHAPE is the Society of Health and Physical Educators, with the vision to have a "nation where all children are prepared to live healthy and active lives." Their mission is "to advance professional practice and promote research related to health and physical education, physical activity, dance and sport." The SHAPE America Conference occurs annually throughout the country, so this is a unique opportunity for students to attend one that is close to home and cost effective. This year it is March 28 - April 1, 2022.
This is also a fantastic opportunity to network and connect with future employers. Additionally, our students will represent and serve as ambassadors for the University of Idaho and the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences at a national conference.
Please help us send our students to this unique opportunity to grow both personally and professionally.
