Who We Are
This is our third year on the U of I campus, and we are excited to begin engaging the community at large. It is our student organization's goal to normalize atheism, agnosticism, and humanism, and it is our pleasure to bring this film to the Moscow community. We have already received a $500 grant from Secular Student Alliance National to cover some of the event costs. Today we're asking for your help to raise the remaining $700 we need to make this event possible.
We Believe This Is an Important Film & Would Appreciate Your Support
There is no God. Now what? If this is the only life we have, how does that affect how we lives our lives, how we treat each other, and cope with death? We're fundraising to bring A Better Life: Finding Joy and Meaning in a World Without God, Chris Johnson, to the U of I campus for an event on October 13th to help us facilitate this discussion.
In the film, photographer and filmmaker Chris Johnson introduces us to some of the many voices from his book. Join Chris as he explores issues of joy and meaning and travels around the globe meeting people from all walks of life and backgrounds who challenge the false stereotypes of atheists as immoral and evil. From Daniel Dennett and A.C. Grayling, to Julia Sweeney and Robert Llewellyn—learn the various ways many atheists have left religion and have lived a life filled with love, compassion, hope, and wonder!
