Our Crowdfunding Groups
UI-HEC connects UI students of all majors and technical backgrounds through international service opportunities. For the past two years, we have partnered with a rural community in the Bolivian Altiplano to improve their access to clean water. In collaboration with our Bolivian partners, UI-HEC has designed and implemented the third phase of a four-part freshwater distribution system, and are currently working on the final phase to serve the fourth zone of the community. Students in UI-HEC develop valuable skills such as cultural competence, interdisciplinary teamwork, sustainable design, communication and project management, as we utilize our engineering abilities for the good of humanity.
