The University of Idaho used to house the very successful Hemingway Festival annually. Due to the loss of funding, the festival ended. Now, the University of Idaho English Department is re-envisioning it as The Palouse Literary Festival.
Our inaugural event brought in writers from all over the Pacific Northwest, including Leni Zumas, Sam Roxas-Chua, John Sibley Williams, and Debra Gwartney, a University of Idaho alumnus.
As with last year, our festival will consist of a full schedule of events centered around a slate of featured visiting writers and will take place from October 15 -17, 2020. In order to continue this important cultural work, we need your help.
Money gathered through this campaign will directly supply the honorariums to bring in fantastic writers. Any additional money will be used to secure writers for next year's festival. Please consider supporting our campaign by donating and by sharing the link with your friends and family.

With a $25 donation, you will receive an email unveiling the full Palouse Literary Festival lineup before it is released to the general public and receive periodic updates about the event as it draws closer.
With a $50 donation, you will receive a "thank you" posted on the social media profiles of the University of Idaho Creative Writing Program in your name or in honor of someone you specify, along with all lower-tier perks.
With a $100 donation, you will receive front-row reserved seating in your name at select locations and events, along with all lower tier perks.
With a $300 donation, you will be designated as the official sponsor of a specific festival event. Your business or name will be announced as such at the beginning and the end of the event (e.g. "Tonight's reading is presented by The Prancing Pony"). You will also receive all lower tier perks.
For a donation of $1,500, you or your business will be the sponsor of the festival (The Palouse Literary Festival sponsored by [your/your business name]). This name and a short message will be announced at the beginning of every official PLF event, you will be allowed to advertise a all official PLF events, there will be reserved seating at all official PLF events where seating is available, and there will be the possibility of partnership for future festivals.
