Hello, everyone,
It's almost time for the Palouse Literary Festival! We are thrilled to welcome our wonderful lineup of readers, and we hope you will all join us for at least one of our events. All events will be held via Zoom at the same link:
https://uidaho.zoom.us/j/7242893322
The festival begins on Thursday, October 15 and will continue through Saturday, October 17. Joe Wilkins will kick things off on Thursday at 7:00pm PST, followed by Ching-In Chen on Friday at 7:00 PST. On Saturday we have a double-header: a PopUp Prose event at 2:00pm PST and a craft talk with DJ Lee and Mike Bishop at 7:00pm PST.
Once again, we would like to thank all of our donors. None of this would have been possible without your generosity and support of the arts. We are disappointed that we can't have the festival in-person this year, but we are even more excited that, with your help, we are still able to continue virtually. We look forward to seeing all of you very soon!

Hi, everyone,
It's been a bit of a rocky road to say the least, but we are happy to announce that the Palouse Literary Festival is happening virtually this October! We've got a great line-up of authors and creators, and we're excited to share our schedule with you.
On Thursday, October 15, there will be a reading by Joe Wilkins, author of the novel Fall Back Down When I Die, four collections of poetry, and a memoir. Wilkins was raised in Eastern Montana and is a graduate of the MFA program here at the University of Idaho. We are thrilled to welcome him back to Moscow!
On Friday, October 16, we will welcome Ching-In Chen, author of The Heart's Traffic and recombinant and co-editor of The Revolution Starts at Home: Confronting Intimate Violence within Activist Communities and Here is a Pen: an Anthology of West Coast Kundiman Poets. They are also a community organizer and have worked with the Asian American communities of San Francisco, Oakland, Riverside, and Boston.
Saturday, October 17, will feature a double-header. First, we will be sharing our platform with PopUp Prose, an experimental reading series founded in Moscow, Idaho.
That evening, we welcome DJ Lee. Lee is a writer and professor at Washington State University who studies environmental humanities, wilderness studies, literature of the American West, and 18th and 19th-century British Literature, among other topics. Lee's latest book Remote: Finding Home in the Bitterroots was released in 2020 from Oregon State University Press.
We hope you are as excited about this line-up as we are. All events will be held via Zoom, and the Zoom link, once available, will be posted here. We look forward to "seeing" everyone at these readings, which are sure to be wonderful and enlightening. And once again, we extend our deepest gratitude to all of our donors. Without you, none of this would have been possible.
Sincerely,
Neil Davidson, Courtney Lucas, and Mikelyn Rochford
